WPE WORKSHOP DATES

Fall Quarter 2008

All Writing Exam Workshops are given on a space-available basis. Sign-ups are not necessary and there is no fee. Select one workshop to attend; several are offered because of limited space and to provide several options for attendance.

The Writing Lab also offers a selection of helpful handouts:

• The S-E-E Paragraph - organizing paragraphs
• Specific Detail in Paragraphs
• Beyond Generalizations - how to develop ideas rather than repeat them
• Writing Summaries for the WPE
• Tips for Writing Under Pressure

If you want to brush up on grammar, punctuation, usage, or essay organization, the University Writing Lab Website has links to several helpful online resources. Some of these sites offer interactive tutorials and powerpoint presentations to help you review the basics of essay writing.
